(原创)Parents who can't help but tell their children they are beautiful may actually be harming their confidence, according to women's minister Jo Swinson.

Ms Swinson says seemingly harmless ments about the hair, looks or clothes of one of their children could send the negative message that looks are the most important thing in life.

The 33­year­old woman, who does not have any children, said mothers should also be careful when plaining or boasting_about their looks in front of their children for the same reason.

Instead, Ms Swinson said parents should praise their children's intelligence and other positive qualities to help them succeed in life.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Ms Swinson said:“I know as an aunt, you fall into the trap of turning to your niece and saying,‘you look beautiful’— because of course all children do look beautiful— but if the message they get is that is what is important and that is what gets the most praise, then that's necessarily the most positive message you want them to hear.”

Students Seek Relief as Finals Approach

For college students everywhere, no other period is quite as stressful as the end of the academic semester.

“No matter what university you attend, you will feel the stress of finals week, because you know what you're going through.” says Kaylee Merchak, a MMC(Marymount Manhattan College) junior.

To ease the burden, most colleges will adjust the standard academic calendar to allow students some of the extra time that finals require.

During the finals period, the library also extends its hours past their usual schedule. As of December 9, the library will be open Monday through Thursday until midnight, and it is open until 10:00 p.m. on Fridays. The weekend hours will also be extended from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays.

The expansion of the library's hours is very helpful for students during the end of the semester.“I think it's a good idea that the library extends their hours during finals week,” says Merchak.“I know a lot of students work in the library and that allows them to work longer and increases their likelihood of success.”

Brian Rocco, Director of the Library, also says that students are still able to access the online resources that they have to offer.“Our‘virtual’ library is open 24/7,” he continues.“With an Inter connection, you can access our extensive e­book and e­journal collection anytime, anywhere.”

实际上对自身并没有什么很好的提高,你只是记住了答案,省了点做题时间,但是高考题库何其多。这个要看你买的是什么押题卷了,我高考那段时间也买过好多资料,做了几种,给你推荐一个我认为是最好的,叫,你可以自己百度了解下,反正我用了这个多考了不少分数。

三、有没有好的化学奥赛辅导书最好不要光是题,有教程的

浙大的AB级、金版奥赛教程都很好,还可以用机械工业出版社出版的《高考-奥赛赛全程对接》,也还可以。还有人推荐山西出版社的《点击金牌高中化学奥林匹克竞赛解题方法大全》,这本没看过,应该不会错吧。最好还是看大学课本啦,最基础的《普通化学原理》,有机可以看邢其毅的《基础有机化学》,还可以根据自己的能力看一些关于物化、分析等等比较高深的东西。

《化学实验的启示与科学思维的训练》(严宣申主编,北京大学出版社)、《奥林匹克化学》(吴国庆、李克安、严宣申、段连运、程铁明编写,北京大学出版社)、《中学化学竞赛导引——从高考到奥林匹克竞赛》(钮泽富、因尧、因红编著,上海教育出版社)(以上三本主编都是国家化学奥赛命题组负责人、著名大学教授,书中对竞赛训练的科学思维讲述很好,体现他们命题思想),《物质结构和性质的关系——中学化学疑难浅析》(周志华著,科学普及出版社,周老师是我大老板,以前在南师大主讲结构化学,研究功能材料,同时也是课程与教学论博士生导师,他的这本书结合化学键、分子间作用力、氢键和物质聚集状态对宏观性质的影响,深入浅出阐明结构和性质的关系,非常适合竞赛辅导)、《和中学生谈化学》(金松寿编著,陕西科学技术出版社,这本小册子的亮点也在于结构这条主线在化学学习中的应用)。最近,中国科学技术大学出版社的《现代科学中的化学键能及其广泛应用》(罗渝然;郭庆祥;俞书勤;张先满著)作为中科大校友文库出版著作之一,引起了端木我的重视,虽然作为名家学术著作,但是体现了结构与性质的关系很实用,尤其第5章“化学键能变化的某些规规律及其应用”谈到了有机化合物中的C-X键,取代基效应,大共轭体系与视觉化学,簇合物,生化过程的理解,抗氧化剂设计,催化剂选择,大气尘埃预测,寻找石油,引发聚合,纳米材料,高能材料,储氢材料,燃料电池等话题,非常值得竞赛选手一读。

期刊杂志类:

无机化学:《无机化学》(94年,第三版高等教育出版社,武汉大学吉林大学编写,无机化学的经典教材。很多人极崇拜的无机教材,的确很适合竞赛。竞赛需要的元素知识大部分都在其中,编排思路也不错,但错误较多,看的时候需要慎重。)、《普通化学原理》3ed.(北京大学出版社,华彤文、杨骏英等主编,相当基础适合做启蒙教材)、《普通无机化学》2ed(北京大学出版社,严宣申王长富主编,按照严老的竞赛思路编写)、《无机化学》(高等教育出版社,第四版,三所师范大学编写,吴国庆主编,由于是吴老主编所以非常适合竞赛,但是有不少错误)、《大学化学》(上下册含分析化学,高等教育出版社,南京大学傅献彩编写);《高等无机化学》(南京师范大学出版社,刘淑薇、金安定、吴勇编写,不少体系适合竞赛命题素材,其中吴勇副教授是我当年无机化学老师,是江苏省化学竞赛领导阶层之一)、《无机化学》(安徽省总教练张祖德主编,中国科学技术大学出版社,网络上流传该教材的配套习题及解答,充分体现与化学竞赛联系!该书深入浅出,讲解细致,端木阅读后极其推荐)《化学原理选讲》(严宣申,南方出版社,2001)严先生的教学精华,很罕见的一本书。可以说这本书是严先生的竞赛讲义,他的北京竞赛辅导讲座可以在这本书上找到他讲述的几乎所有内容,端木有幸读过这本书,不少内容与他的另一本著作《热力学函数等电子原理的应用》雷同。对于化学师生都是很好的帮助”《大学普通化学》(傅鹰,人教社,1981)院士的书,其下册可以算是我看过的最经典的元素教材了。语言相当风趣,讲述知识的同时也讲述科研方法、思想,而且适时地介绍做人的道理。全书条理清晰,详略得当,对主要元素的介绍很到位,而且有一些独到的东西,看过之后大部分元素知识就不会再忘了。美中不足的就是这本书年代久远(成书于上世纪五十年代),有些知识限于当时的水平,与现在的结论相悖,所以比较适合复习元素的时候看。)项斯芬姚光庆的《中级无机化学》(北京大学出版社)非常有参考价值,许多课后习题就是竞赛题原题!

有机化学:《基础有机化学》3ed(考研必备,不必多说,高等教育出版社,邢其毅,周政,裴伟伟,徐瑞秋编写);《有机化学》(高等教育出版社,胡宏纹主编);《基础有机化学习题解答与解题示例》(北京大学出版社,对应于邢其毅的书);《有机化学》(南开大学出版社,王积涛等编写);《有机化学》(尹冬冬主编,三所师范大学,高等教育出版社);《有机化学复习指南》(黄乃聚,第一版,复旦大学出版社,1991)很老的一本题,对有机化学知识有较系统的整理,但难度较大,适合于冬令营前提高用,我当年考研究生复习时候,南师大杨锦飞老师就依据此书开展系统复习,一时传为经典。《有机化学》(R.T.莫里森,R.N.博伊德,复旦大学译,第一版,科学,1980)国外的经典教材,为很多人推崇。思路与邢大本不大相同,全书一直是在问题中前进,视角很独到。各章均有对本章反应的汇总,系统性非常强。难度与初赛相当,很值得看一看。

(说明,由于我不是做有机方向,也没有教过竞赛有机,所以不是太熟悉)

分析化学:《分析化学》(高等教育出版社,武汉大学编写,市面上有配套习题解析和学习指导)以及师范大学编写的同名教材上册(高等教育出版社)《定量分析习题精解》(武汉大学,第二版,科学,2004)题目很经典,解答很详尽,书中有些思想也很好,是很好的分析习题。竞赛题中分析比重不大,看好上面的几本书任何之一足以!!

结构化学:《结构化学基础》4ed.习题解答4ed.(北京大学出版社,周公度段连运,内容与时俱进,切合化学前沿,包括超分子化学、五重键等);《结构与物性》3ed.(高等教育出版社,周公度主编,比较浅显,但注重结构与性质的联系);《物质结构(第二版)》(高等教育出版社,徐光宪、王祥云(北京大学));《结构化学》(高等教育出版社,东北师范大学和华东师范大学主编),《物质结构学习指导》(倪行高剑南主编,科学出版社,主要面向化学师范生编写,所以体现与中学化学的联系)《高等无机结构化学》(麦松威、周公度、李伟基,第一版,北京大学出版社、香港中文大学出版社,2001)结构化学的权威专著,在晶体方面讲述极到位,个人十分推崇。《高等无机结构化学》(麦松威、周公度、李伟基,第二版,北大,2006)比第一版多了近二百页,元素部分增加很多。前面对于势箱的讲述非常好,在元素周期系上也有不错的综述,尤其是对相对论效应的介绍,很值得研究。新增的计算化学一章中介绍了一些最新的科研成果,可以拿来当结论记。书中出现的晶胞大都是很经典的晶胞,出现在竞赛题中的概率很大。氢一章中对于氢键的介绍相当深入,应当详细研究。

物理化学:物理化学的基础内容在无机化学原理中已经有所体现,而大三学生才学习的物化专业内容主要为了应付冬令营和ICHO,一般省级赛区选手无须过问。端木在执教三届物理化学之后,推荐如下比较经典的教材,包括:《物理化学》(高等教育出版社,南大傅献彩,现在最新已经第五版了)以及配套解题指导书、《物理化学》(高等教育出版社,北大高盘良、韩德刚、高执棣,比较难但是思路很新)、《物理化学简明教程》(山东大学印永嘉主编,高等教育出版社,相对于前面两本比较浅,简明是它的特色)、《物理化学核心教程》及配套解题指导(第二版,科学出版社,南京大学沈文霞为非化学专业编写的物理化学教材,体系同前面南大经典教材,但精简篇幅避免烦琐的公式推导,每章提纲挈领的提出核心内容,很适合中学生竞赛)。至于天津大学、华东理工大学的物理化学教材都比较经典,但针对工科的体系不适合竞赛选手。最近端木淘得一书《物理化学习题集》(南京大学物化原班人马编写,侯文华姚天扬等)特色在于大部分题目都取材于实际科研工作,并附有原始文献,因此,这类题目对培养学生独立工作能力,了解物理化学理论知识的实际应用都会有一定帮助。

模拟试题类

随着中学综合学科网的淡出,随着胡波与我组成的模拟题团队退出,“我爱奥赛网”成为目前网络上几乎是唯一主攻化学竞赛模拟题命题的机构。与《赛前集训》配套的《高中化学竞赛考前训练》(施华主编,华东师范大学出版社)有不少原创题。中国青年出版社的《全国高中学生化学竞赛模拟训练试卷精选》、浙江大学出版社的培优教程·全真模拟卷、南京大学出版社的模拟卷出过,固然有陈题,但是总体还是有不少新题!春雨出过的几种竞赛题大多抄袭各省初赛和胡波老师以前的题目,不值得买!
